TRAINING FOR TIER X
There are a few important tanks to play at lower tiers that will build good experience for higher tiers. I went up the ladder way to fast so stay low and learn first. To help, here is the first draft of our: Clan HLYWD Training Guide to Tier X Success
To succeed at Tier X you need to develop significant real in-game experience to learn the more non-obvious advanced techniques like...
Passive Spotting: You don't always need to do the most damage to win. Sometimes the best way to win is just to keep the enemy spotted for your team or platoon mates to take out for you.
Cammo Reset: Use the bushes, rocks, and always knock down trees to make cover then if you are spotted back up for 5 or 10 seconds until the enemy disappears which means you are now in the clear...then roll back up and lay it on them form a new angle an disappear again.
Tracking & Ramming: Your tank itself is a great weapon...so unless you are a Light or thin skin Medium go ahead and use it to your advantage.
Gun Selection: For almost every tank you need to figure out if you have the best gun mounted - not the highest penetration or damage gun - but the best gun for your play style. "Bigger Damage" guns are not alway the same as "Better in Battle" guns to help you win more battles.
Game Tilt: You are your own hardest opponent and sometimes you will, get in a bad cycle of crappy teams. But often it isn't the team that is bad...it is just your ability to be in the right mood to capitalize on weaker players mistakes. So maybe if you lose 3 in a row and start to feel frustrated take a break, go for a walk, read a book - ie only marathon play when you are in the zone.
Here is our Top X list of Blitz Advanced Play Techniques along with a good video tutorial link for each skill:

Now...how to best train these techniques on lower lever tanks. Here is a guide to which Tier II through IV Tanks are best to get s sense of the skills. Then our list of which Tier V tanks are critical for you to master before heading up the line to Tier X.
However, before your enter the fray at higher tiers the true test of skills happens when you learn to master Tier V. Here is where you can put all the most critical skills to test. If you master these skills at Tier V after running your paces on the tiers below you will be ready for the big show at Tier X.
Critical Tier II to IV Tanks to Master
Japanese Hago - At an amazing -15% Gun Depression the best Ridge Line trainer in Blitz.
German T18 - perfect tank to learn the ups and downs of TDs. Play both guns though to see the difference between Low HP High Rate of Fire vs. just going to the big HP damage gun. Do the math and adjust to your style as sometimes less is more.
German Pz III - You will be amazed at how well concepts like "hull down" and "side-scraping" actually work with this little bull dog.
British Cruiser III - Great tank to learn Brawling and Peek-A-Boom (or in this case Peel-A-BoomBoom-BoomBoom)
German Pzr IV D - Best Peek-a-Boom Tier IV in Blitz
Matilda IV Premium - Great premium tank to earn extra credits while also training on Side-Scrapping, Hull Down & Gun Depression
Tier V| Most Critical Tier V Tanks: Here is my list of the the top Tier V tank to master before moving up the chain:
Russian Tier V
KV1 w/85mm gun (it and tier 6 KV1S some of the best in Blitz) -SU85 (best TD experience & fun tank)
American Tier V
T1 Heavy (Side-scraping & brawling)
M4 (great Med experience on the flanks)
T49 TD (but play it like a Med)
German Tier V
Leopard (this Light is one of the best to learn the art of "constant motion". To win in a light and most Meds like PHQNA's mastery of the RU251 you need to go low Tier 2 & 3 and learn how to NEVER stop moving and shoot accurately on the fly)
British Tier V
AT2 (these AT TD's are tricky little bruisers with small guns but fast fire rate so buy one just to learn better how to kill them)
Japanese Tier V
(Armor about as good as paper origami but the best gun depression..aka hull down on a ridge and angle your gun low to pick off enemy at a distance. Don't rush in but learn to move on perimeter and pick great spots to pop 1 or 2 shots then move to a new spot. Great skill to learn vs. being a noob and trading HPs until you are dead.
